Instant Pot Corn on the Cob

How to cook corn in an instant bowl

There are only a few simple steps for cooking sweet corn in your instant capacity. First of all you will remove the skin and silk.

Then, pour 1 cup of cold water into a bowl in an instant bowl. Use one cup of water in an instant 6 liter pan, or half a cup of water if you use an 8 liter container.

Place a metal tripod at the bottom of the bowl. You will place the atom on a tripod to prevent it from falling into the water or touching the bottom of the pot.

When placing the corn ear on a tripod, arrange different layers of corn in two alternating directions. You can see how to do it in the picture. This helps the air circulate around the ear atoms to cook evenly. You should be able to put 3 corn ears in each layer.

After closing the Instant Pot lid and changing the steam relief valve to the closed position, set the cooking time to 2 minutes under high pressure. Instant pot will take around 12-15 minutes to reach the pressure, then cooking time will start counting down.

After the cooking time is over, use the long spoon handle to quickly switch the pressure relief valve to the ventilation position to release the pressure. When the steam ends and the nails fall, open the lid. Corn is ripe and ripe to be enjoyed!

Scale

Ingredients

  • 4 ears corn on the cob husks and silks removed (see note)
  • 1 cup water use 1.5 cups for 8 quart Instant Pot

Instructions

  1. Place 1 cup water in the Instant Pot inner pot (use 1 1/2 cups water if using an 8 quart instant pot). Put the metal trivet in the bottom of the pot.
  2. Set the ears of corn on the trivet, alternating the direction of the corn ears in each layer of corn.
  3. Close the Instant Pot lid and turn the steam release valve to the sealing position. Press the “Manual” or “Pressure Cook” button and set the cook time to 2 minutes. The Instant Pot will take some time to reach pressure and then the cook time will begin counting down.
  4. When the cook time ends, quick release the pressure by carefully turning the steam release valve to the venting position (I do this using the handle of a long spoon). When all of the steam has escaped and the pin drops down, open the Instant Pot lid.
  5. Serve corn with butter, salt and pepper, or as desired.
